Over the years, I've seen bats, owls, rats, armadillos, possum, raccoons, foxes, and coyotes. Today, however, I saw something I've never seen out there before. As I was heading north on the path, across from Dallas Bicycle Works, but before the clearing, I saw a very large bobcat or Lynx, and it crossed right in front of me as I approached. My guess is that it was 45-50 pounds, and went from 0 to gone in seconds. I was able to get a good look at it with my headlamp, and it was pretty awesome.

If you are running over there durning tthe dark hours, stay aware.

I also saw a big cat at WRL a few months ago, near the wooded area on the inside of the road loop when you come down out of the neighborhood road, near the Stone Tables. It was in the late afternoon, so plenty of sun still for me to see it.

Yes, stay aware!
